Well done and intelligently written, Walter Spence’s House of Shadows is a very good debut. The characters were fleshed out very well and Mr. Spence was able to create an entire mythos surrounding the Breed in a short framework. Just enough closure to be thoroughly satisfying and enough cliffhanger to keep me looking forward to the second installment.
