The writing is smooth and flows well, even through all the 900+ pages. The characters are extremely well drawn and the story is truly an epic. A few other reviewers have stated that they wished they had read this one when it came out in the late 80’s and I think that I agree. Still, a 4+ Star read and maybe more…I’m gonna let it gel and see. Robert McCammon can write a hell of an entertaining story. No doubt about it.
