I had this one for a while and held onto it so that I could savor the stories later in October. It was a lot harder than it sounds. I am not a very good “waiter.” There’s something about reading in the dark and rainy weather though, so I stuck it out and held off. Glad I did. It was well worth the wait, as I knew it would be. We had a whopping 3 dreary days in a row and even had 2 days of rain, so I ripped into this one while the atmosphere was right. (As I write this, it is 82 degrees and frickin beautiful. F’n California.) I shouldn’t complain, but I am sick of the warm weather and am ready for some cold and rain. I know. California crybaby. Guilty.
Bad Apples 3 is a fitting addition to the BA anthology series. I can’t remember any “bad apples” in any of the series and number 3 is no exception. With several new authors added to the lineup this edition is the biggest and baddest yet. Adam Light, Jason Parent, Edward Lorn, Evans Light, Gregor Xane, and newbies, John McNee, Craig Saunders and Mark Matthews. If you are not reading these guys, then you are missing out. Do yourself a favor and go grab some of their stuff, you won’t regret it. They are all on my “must read” author list.
A Soild 4+ Stars and should be required Halloween reading for all Horror Aficionados.
