"This audiobook was provided by the narrator, Joe Hempel, at no cost in exchange for an unbiased review."Glad Joe was nice enough to gift this one to me because the dude nailed the narration. Joe has a very distinct voice and his timing and pace of story are always right on the mark. Very well done, as usual, from Mr. Hempel.
This story was pretty much what I expected it to be. I even expected the gross out meter to be a ten…and then Tim turned it up to eleven. Daaammnn.
Most dolls are creepy. I have, however, grossly underestimated the pure unadulterated evil that is the sock monkey. (And I am mildly embarrassed that I did have one as a child). Mine was a wee tamer and thankfully didn’t tell me to run amok in a grocery store with a machete.
Supermarket slaughter, geriatric veejayjay removal, and family candlestick fun. A brutal and over the top violent and disturbing short from the obviously demented mind of Tim Miller. 3.5 Stars
