Nick “The Widowmaker” Bullman was a wrestling superstar. After being brutally attacked and disfigured, his life falls apart and he finds himself very much alone. Once too self absorbed to think of anyone other than himself, Nick gets dragged back into a life he abandoned years ago, to help try and save the family he never took the time to know. Having seemingly lost it all, Nick may just find that the things he held so dear, once upon a time, really don’t matter at all. In trying to save his estranged family he just may have a chance to get them back and perhaps save himself in the process.
James Newman is fast becoming one of my favorite authors. Whether a tale of “white trash noir” or straight up horror, James seems to capture the essence of character and atmosphere perfectly for each of his stories. UAS is no exception, with its solid story line and strong protagonist, James once again knocks it out of the park in this suspenseful tale of loss, revenge, love, and most importantly…redemption. 5 Stars! Highest Recommendation!
